Montreal-based producer Tor has released Illinoize, a remix album comprised of  samples of Sufjan Stevens songs along with MC’s Aesop Rock, Big Daddy Kane, Gift of Gab (Blackalicious), C.L. Smooth, Outkast, Brother Ali, and Grand Puba. It’s Sufjan like you’ve never heard before, and it’s available for download or stream now at Illinoize.biz

As Brother Ali brings another disc of smooth rhymes and banging beats, live instruments help dot his musical horizon and expand his sound.  Meanwhile, the Diablo Swing Orchestra has an unorthodox style of its own, combining boogie-woogie with metal guitar, slap bass, classical cello, ragtime piano, theatrical baritone leads, and operatic falsettos.
