Dorothy Hong opens her solo exhibition today at the Vision Quest Contemporary Photography Gallery in Genoa, Italy. Entitled Introductions, the exhibition features a collection of portraits and will remain open through July.

Wilkes-Barre, PA’s An Albatross has leaked their latest single “Floodgates Released,” off of their upcoming second album, An Albatross Family Album, out October 21 Via Eyeball Records. The five-piece has developed a steadily growing following due to their incendiary live shows and for their penchant for twisting noise-rock, punk, and jazz into a glittery, psychedelic circus. Pennsylvanian noisecore sextet An Albatross recently signed to Eyeball Records, a label known for “discovering” bands like Thursday, My Chemical Romance, and Murder by Death. In a web exclusive interview with Revolver, vocalist Edward B. Gieda III described their forthcoming full-length on Eyeball, entitled Blessphemy…of the Peace Beast Feastgiver and the Bear Warp Kumite, as being “significantly more listenable, [with] a heavy emphasis on the power of the performances.” (more…)

After almost a year, lazer vikings An Albatross are back touring the US with their noisy D.C. pals The Apes for the month of March.
