whatitis.jpgPaul Maziar and Matt Maust (designer/bassist of Los Angeles’ Cold War Kids) have published a “graphic-novel-prose-memoir” book. Words are by Maziar and pictures are by Maust.

It will be available in February via Write Bloody Publishing, and there will be a big Brooklyn release party on February 13 at Sound Fix Lounge. The release party includes a live reading and musical guests Derrik Brown, Chase Pagan, and Matty Charles.

Converge Announces Spring Tour; Jacob Bannon Keeps Busy

Jacob BannonJ. Bannon, lead singer of Converge, is going on the Lambs for Lions tour with his band through April.  He also has a solo album on the way, and is about to release an experimental recording, “The Blood of Thine Enemies,” a minimalist, emotional, six-minute dirge very different from his work in Converge. He has plans for a new website showcasing his artwork and also recently formed a band (Irons) with visual artist Stephen Kasner and Integrity vocalist Dwid Hellion. (more…)
