Well, summer is almost over, and while that means shorter days, longer nights, and cooler temperatures, there is still one last hurrah before the last glow of summer officially fades. We’re talking, of course, about Bumbershoot, Seattle’s music and arts festival. For those of you in the Pacific northwest, or those of you willing to make the pilgrimage to the annual Labor Day festival, you can catch some of today’s top acts gracing Bumbershoot’s stages. Among the extensive and impressive lineup are such acts as Beck, The Black Keys, Band Of Horses, Neko Case, !!!, T.I., Man Man, The Walkmen, Throw Me The Statue, Monotonix, The Whigs, and the reincarnation of Stone Temple Pilots, among many more. Along with the multiple music stages, the festival also offers a wide variety of other stages, including – but not limited to – art, literary, theater, film, and a comedy stage which will have three straight nights of Human Giant. The festival will kick off Saturday, August 30th and will carry on through Labor Day. Tickets are still available, with standard 3-day passes for $100 and day-to-day tickets for $40.
