Xiu Xiu and High Places Plan Split 7″ and Photo Project

Only 1000 copies of a Xiu Xiu and High Placessplit 7″ will be released by Aagoo Records this fall. 700 of the records will be in black with the remaining 300 records in white. The record will feature “Kitten Revolution,” a Women as Lovers b-side as well as a new version of High Places’“Oceanus,” which originally appeared on a compilation album. As well, each 7″ also includes a Polaroid by photographer David Horvitz.

Once Horvitz hits the road with Xiu Xiu in the fall, an even larger photo project will be underway. Guests to these shows can bring a disposable camera and a self-addressed stamped padded envelope to any of the August or September Xiu Xiudates and Horvitz will fill the camera with photos, to be mailed back to you. You will have to bring the camera to your local photo lab but for an additional $20, Horvitz will take ten photographs based on your request.
