Music News | March 16, 2007
The news is fairly surprising given that the last effort from Omar Rodriguez-Lopez and Cedric Bixler-Zavala, Amputechture, was just issued in September of 2006. If the release isn’t pushed back, it will maintain a torrid pace of production for the duo, which will have released four full works in just over four years. Meanwhile, Rodriguez-Lopez, the man responsible for all of The Mars Volta’s non-vocal arrangements, is set to release another solo full-length disc on GSL in May. The album is titled Se Dice Bisonte, No Bufalo and has a track called “Chores” available to be heard at myspace.com/goldstandardlaboratories. The Mars Volta is currently touring Australia before playing a few dates in California in late March and early April. The Mars Volta: Various Tracks Email This
