The semi-somber eccentricity of Man Man, featured in ALARM’s forthcoming summer issue, hits the road today in the United States.

Man Man, whose slightly morose mixture of gypsy-tinged, Tom-Waits-like pop creations was last released in early 2006 by Ace Fu, have begun a tour of the United States with indie rockers Modest Mouse.

The group is coming off more time in the studio, and will have a live set that features a substantial amount of new material. The tour began yesterday, April 25, in Quebec, and will pass through various points on the East Coast before hitting the South and Southwest.

To read a feature on Man Man and more on excellent music and art, pick up ALARM’s summer issue on June 19.
