Despite teaching at the School of Visual Arts in New York for more than 40 years, ink and paint artist Adrienne Leban had never experienced an exhibit solely comprised of her artwork. Starting on May 4 with the help of former student Corey Rosenberg, that will no longer be the case. Rosenberg, a collector of Leban’s work, recently opened The Corey Gallery, which will host The Lifeworks - Part One: Bio-Geo on the fourth, fifth, and sixth of next month. The exhibit will showcase her most recent creations - free-hand works of India ink on canvas, paper, and wood. The second part of the Bio-Geo series will be shown in October, and a number of Leban’s older paintings can be seen during May and June at Elmo Restaurant and Lounge in New York City.
