The extremely busy, highly diverse vocalist, whose orchestral arrangements with Daniele Luppi can be heard in Italy next week, will also sing Peeping Tom material for “The Henry Rollins Show” on June 1 and soon spend large chunks of time abroad to perform.

To say that vocalist Mike Patton is involved in a vast amount of projects would be a gross understatement. His latest endeavor, a special event called Mondo Cane that will arrange and interpret Italian songs of the 50s and 60s with an ensemble, small chorus, and orchestra, can be seen on a few special dates overseas next week.

The performances (which we’re hoping will be released in album form) will take place in Italy on May 24, 25, and 26. Patton will then tour various cities across Europe from May 28 to June 8 as he partners with experimental electronic artist Christian Fennesz. The duo will also play in Israel on June 9.

After that, Patton will travel to the southern hemisphere to present his Peeping Tom material once in New Zealand and five times in Australia from June 16-24. His highly collaborative solo material will also be featured in a live setting for “The Henry Rollins Show” on June 1, and IFC.com will exclusively host a second song from the same performance.

And if that weren’t enough to put on his plate for the summer, Patton will again record with Dub Trio in some capacity for a full-length album that should be released in January of 2008. It’s not yet known whether he will simply make a few guest appearances or be featured on the entire album.

But wait! There’s more. The third album from Tomahawk, which will be reviewed in ALARM’s summer issue and consists of Native American songs rendered by Patton, guitarist Duane Denison, and drummer John Stanier, will be released on June 19 by Ipecac.
