zorn21.jpgIf 2007 didn’t include a visit to experimental performance space The Stone in New York’s East Village, then perhaps it’s about time for a visit. Artistic director John Zorn (shown left) is hosting a special year-end benefit and improvisation performance.

The Stone is a non-profit venue specializing in the exhibition of avant-garde and experimental acts. Shows are curated by Zorn, one of the biggest names in experimental jazz and classical. Proceeds from the venue go towards supporting the venue.

The December 29th show will feature improvisations from Zorn (saxophone) and Vijay Iyer (piano) as well as special guests yet to be announced.
