After a vastly successful response from the band’s debut album, Age of Winters, the guys have established a reputation in the rock world for delivering time-honored metal sounds alongside creative initiatives of their own. Hits from Age of Winters, such as “Iron Swan” and “Freya” (the latter of which can be heard below), are epitomes of The Sword’s powerful sound. And the 2008 album promises to be even “bigger” than the first. Fans can get a preview of the new material as the band performs the majority of it live. The Sword will begin touring in December, and though only three dates are yet confirmed, the tour is slated to hit more than seventeen cities across the US. Tickets are now on sale for the scheduled shows. Updated dates and locations are set to be released in the near future.
